From Indie's Desk: May We Be Gentle With Ourselves

May is a month that holds a lot. The light lingers a little longer, the flowers bloom, and the air begins to feel like hope. But for many of us, it also stirs something deeper, especially as Mother's Day approaches.

This time of year, I always find myself reflecting on the many shapes that motherhood can take. And truthfully, how layered and complex it really is.

For some, it's a joyful celebration. For others, it's a tender reminder of loss, longing, or the weight of what never was. Mother's Day can be beautiful, and it can also be complicated. Both can be true.

I want to hold space for that.

To me, motherhood is not just about biology or titles. It's about the way we love. The way we nurture, protect, create, and advocate. It's in the way we care for our friends, raise our voices for what matters, and show up for ourselves when no one else is around.

Maybe you're a mom. Maybe you're longing to be one. Maybe you've chosen not to be, or maybe you're mothering in ways the world doesn't always recognize-through friendship, mentorship, healing, or holding space.

Wherever you find yourself in that story, I see you. You are worthy of love, celebration, and grace.

As I continue this journey of rediscovery-I'm learning that mothering ourselves is a radical act of wellness. It's setting boundaries. It's choosing rest. It's feeding our bodies, minds, and hearts with what truly nourishes.

Let's honor all forms of motherhood. Let's tell our stories, share our truths, and support one another in creating lives rooted in abundance, healing, and heart.

XO,

Indie
